SUIT JACKET SIZE

Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms and across the shoulder blades. Your chest measurement generally determines your jacket size.

HOW TO READ A PANT SIZE

A size such as 34 × 32 means a 34-inch waist and a 32-inch inseam.

Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, usually just above the belly button.

Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam to the desired trouser hem.

Suit drop: Many suits use a standard drop of six inches, so a size 40 jacket commonly pairs with size 34 trousers. Separates should be sized from your actual waist and inseam.

HOW TO MEASURE

Chest: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the chest and across the shoulder blades. Keep it level and snug, but not tight.

Overarm: Measure around the fullest part of both arms and chest. If the overarm is more than seven inches larger than the chest, subtract seven from the overarm measurement to estimate jacket size.

Sleeve: Measure from the center back of the neck, over the shoulder and down the slightly bent arm to the wrist bone.

Waist: Measure around the natural waistline without pulling the tape tight.

Inseam: Measure from the crotch to the desired trouser length while wearing dress shoes if possible.
